Celebrate 'National Roadless Recreation Week' with Tennessee Wild on August 14

Little Frog Wilderness from the air
Little Frog Wilderness from the air

The week of August 7-15 is National Roadless Recreation Week.  To celebrate America's remaining wild and roadless areas and raise awareness about their value, Tennessee Wild is leading an 8-mile hike into the Little Frog Wilderness along the Rock Creek Trail.

The Little Frog Wilderness is found in southeast Tennessee just north of US 64 along the Ocoee River.  We'll hike into the heart of this beautiful area and enjoy lunch (not provided) along beautiful Rock Creek.  During the hike, leader and naturalist Jeff Hunter will be talking about the many values of roadless areas for wildlife, water and air quality and recreation.

To register for this hike please contact Jeff Hunter at 423-322-7866 or jeff@safc.org.  The meeting time and location will be provided when you register. Space is limited due to wilderness regulations, so don't delay!
