In the third installment of our faces of Wilderness series, we talk to one of our business supporters, Rudd Montgomery from Push Hard Lumber Company. Rudd is a lifelong Tennessean, an outdoorsman, and a skilled artist and woodworker. He is well known for constructing furniture and other crafts from native wood. This includes his well known cedar chairs, unique benches, gorgeous tables, and beautiful bowls. All of these items are on display at Area 61 Gallery in Chattanooga. He also mills lumber at his sawmill up on Walden's Ridge here in Tennessee, and constructed our two Tennessee Wild displays from recycled barn siding.
Checkout Rudd's story (in the video below) of encountering a snake along the Upper Bald River while fishing with a buddy about 25 years ago. If you are in Chattanooga and visit Rudd at his gallery, be sure to tell him you are a Tennessee Wild supporter for a 5% discount on any of his beautiful pieces of furniture or art.
