Washington, DC 20510
Dear Senator Corker,
Thank you for co-sponsoring the Tennessee Wilderness Act of 2010 to protect wilderness in the Cherokee National Forest. You are a true champion of Tennessee's great outdoor and wild places.
Over the past months numerous businesses, organizations, and community leaders and hundreds of your constituents have called on you to protect wilderness in the Cherokee National Forest. Thank you for responding to these requests. Your efforts will ensure that recreational opportunities and wildlife habitat will be protected along with the watersheds and drinking water sources for many of Tennessee's communities.
I look forward to the day when this bill is signed into law and our Tennessee wildlands are afforded the highest level of protection under the Wilderness Act. These lands include the Upper Bald River proposed wilderness along with expansions of the Big Frog, Little Frog, Joyce Kilmer-Slickrock, Big Laurel Branch and Sampson Mountain Wilderness Areas. Thank you for your commitment to protecting these special places for current and future generations!
Sincerely,
